Terms of Service
Understand the service, its limits and your responsibilities.
Effective and last updated: November 6, 2026.
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to the LiveTa iOS app and this website. The service provider is Bolin Group Inc, California, United States. Read these terms and the Privacy Policy before use. If you disagree, stop using the service. You must have capacity to enter the relevant agreement and obtain guardian consent where required by applicable law.
2. Service description
LiveTa is an independent TeslaMate data client. It reads self-hosted vehicle data through your configured LiveTa Connector and provides status, trips, charging and parking records, statistics, local edits, exports and Live Activities, depending on the installed version. The developer does not host your core vehicle history. Optional shared galleries and configured push services involve separate processing described in the Privacy Policy. The app does not request your Tesla password or send vehicle control commands.
LiveTa is currently in testing and is not publicly available on the App Store. TestFlight testing is subject to Apple’s applicable testing terms and invitation conditions. Features, availability and test access may change. The installation scripts are also in testing and have not completed end-to-end validation in all deployment environments. Back up your setup and read the command explanation before deployment.
3. Requirements and self-hosting
Vehicle-data features require a compatible iPhone, supported iOS version, network access and authorized access to TeslaMate and a compatible connector. Testing requirements follow the relevant invitation; after release, the App Store listing specifies requirements. You are responsible for deploying, maintaining, updating and securing your server, database, network access and backups, including third-party costs. Offline demonstrations use sample data.
4. Authorized and acceptable use
Connect only to vehicles and services you are authorized to access. Provide required notices and obtain required permissions for data about other drivers or passengers. Do not use LiveTa to stalk or harass others, bypass access controls, steal credentials, attack systems or break the law. Protect pairing credentials and revoke them on your connector if compromise is suspected.
5. Accuracy and safe driving
Data depends on TeslaMate, the connector, record completeness, time zones, pricing settings and network conditions, and may be delayed, missing or inaccurate. Costs, energy, range and statistics are informational estimates, not bills, maintenance findings or safety guarantees. Lock Screen features, Dynamic Island, background updates and maps depend on iOS and third parties; continuous updates and immediate alerts are not guaranteed. Follow traffic rules and do not operate the app while driving. Rely on vehicle instruments and official warnings for vehicle safety and status decisions.
6. Local edits, exports and deletion
Manually entered fees, notes, places, rules and merged records are stored on your device separately from original TeslaMate records. Automatic cross-device synchronization is not promised. Export needed information before deleting edits, removing data or changing devices. You choose export destinations. Unpairing attempts remote credential revocation; handle revocation on the server if offline. Uninstalling does not delete server records, revoke all credentials or delete external backups. See the Privacy Policy.
With supported app and API versions, Settings lets you manually upload or restore personal-record snapshots, including fees, notes, places, pricing and tire settings, merged records, and supported notification preferences and inbox records. Snapshots stay on your configured API, not a developer-hosted vehicle backup, and are limited to the same API instance and vehicle. Other paired phones authorized for that vehicle can read uploaded snapshots; share your backend only with people you trust. Device push tokens and notification enablement permissions are not transferred. Owner privileges remain server-verified and are not granted by record sync. Clearing local data or unpairing does not delete server snapshots; contact the relevant server administrator for removal.
7. Pricing, purchases and subscriptions
Charges, available products, features, prices, currencies and durations are determined by the released app and Apple purchase confirmation. These terms do not mean LiveTa currently offers subscriptions, lifetime purchases or any particular paid plan. If purchases are offered through the App Store, Apple processes payment and the developer does not receive full payment-card details. If auto-renewing subscriptions are offered, renewal, cancellation, trial and purchase-restoration rules will be disclosed before purchase and follow Apple rules then in effect. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Refunds follow Apple procedures and applicable law. Paid features do not automatically include server hosting or third-party services.
8. License and intellectual property
The app obtained through the App Store is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless a valid custom license is provided at release. These terms supplement the service rules and do not displace applicable Apple purchase rules or statutory rights. Rights in LiveTa code, interfaces and branding belong to their respective owners. Open-source components follow their own licenses. Using LiveTa does not transfer your rights in your data.
Copyright and related rights in LiveTa’s brand artwork, original icons, illustrations and proprietary interface artwork belong to Bolin Group Inc. All rights reserved. Reproduction, modification, distribution, sale or use in other products requires Bolin Group Inc’s prior written permission, except as permitted by law or a separate valid license.
This notice does not change ownership of third-party software, open-source components, third-party trademarks, map content or user-submitted photos. Their respective owners retain rights under the applicable licenses or agreements. For copyright and licensing enquiries, contact support@liveta.net.
For installation scripts and connector code supplied through this website that Bolin Group Inc is entitled to license, we grant a non-exclusive license to install, run and make modifications needed for your deployment on servers you own or are authorized to manage, to connect vehicle data you may lawfully access. Unless a separate applicable license or law permits it, this grant does not include resale, redistribution or impersonation of the official service. Third-party and open-source portions retain their own licenses. Apple’s standard license does not replace licenses for these separate server components.
8A. Photo submissions and moderation
Submit only photos you have the right to share, without infringing privacy, intellectual property or other rights. You retain your rights. By confirming public sharing, you grant the actual gallery operator a non-exclusive license only as necessary to store, review, resize for display, display and handle reports about the submission. Ownership is not transferred.
Ordinary submissions require approval; authorized administrators may publish directly. Administrators may reject or remove content to address reports, rights requests, unlawful material or security issues. Contact support@liveta.net for content managed by Bolin Group Inc, or the relevant administrator for other galleries. Removal cannot guarantee erasure of others’ copies or legally required records.
9. Third parties and independence
LiveTa is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or an official agent of Tesla, Inc. or the TeslaMate project. Trademarks belong to their respective owners. Apple Maps, the App Store, TeslaMate, proxies, VPNs and hosting services have their own terms and privacy policies. Changes to third-party interfaces, systems or services may affect functionality and compatibility.
10. Privacy
See the Privacy Policy for vehicle records, local storage, location permissions, map requests, website requests, support communications and deletion. Accepting these terms does not replace system permissions or separate consent required by law; we will request it separately where needed.
11. Changes and termination
We may update, adjust or discontinue features to fix issues, maintain compatibility or comply with law. Where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice of material changes affecting purchased services and handle related rights as required by law. You may stop using, unpair or uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. For serious unlawful activity or breaches, we may restrict services we provide where legally permitted and technically possible. This does not grant us access to or a right to delete your self-hosted data.
12. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, services are provided as available and as is, without a guarantee of error-free, uninterrupted operation or compatibility with all future systems and third-party versions. We exclude indirect losses only where legally permissible; responsibility depends on causation, fault and applicable law. These terms do not exclude statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for personal injury, fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
13. Disputes and applicable law
Contact us first if a dispute arises. Applicable law and jurisdiction are determined by the relevant conflict-of-law and jurisdiction rules. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections or rights to complain or seek judicial remedies. Software-license matters are also subject to the applicable Apple license.
14. Updates to these terms
We will revise the date when these terms change. Material changes affecting the service or your rights will be reasonably communicated through the website or app, with renewed consent where required by law. Updates do not retroactively remove accrued statutory rights.
